For our client - aprominent technology firm we are seeking a Technology Manager Energy Systems to join their esteemed corporate research department. Location: Prague, Czech Republic. This pivotal role will lead research and development efforts in the field of Energy Systems, driving technological advancements in distributed energy management systems, grid intelligence, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, energy storage systems, and alternative power generation and distribution. Job Profile: Within company'sResearch Labs department, dedicated to developing cutting-edge technologies for future products, you will collaborate with experienced engineers. Your role will entail leading projects and teams to innovative solutions through simulations, mechanical design, technology development, and demonstration of advanced concepts. Main Responsibilities: Lead R&D team in delivering projects within the energy systems domain Initiate innovative technology development and strategize its implementation Ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality project delivery Act as a role model, mentoring and motivating colleagues Drive patent filings to secure critical intellectual properties Stay abreast of latest research trends and acquire external funding through academic and industrial partnerships Contribute to financial objectives by forecasting requirements and budget preparation Present project results to internal and external stakeholders Support team collaboration with business divisions, universities, and customers Requirements Requirements: PhD. or Msc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 8 years of experience in energy systems domain, Team lead experience highly beneficial Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: DER/EV management, EV charging infrastructure integration, battery and energy management systems, grid automation and control, grid reliability and resiliency, DC distribution and microgrid control Expertise in integration of generation and storage technologies into demonstration sites Advanced data analytics skills and control/reinforcement learning to address the emerging R&D challenges in modern energy systems Modeling and simulation, Hardware in the loop (Matlab, PSCAD, Opal-RT, RTDS), Communication protocols (CAN, MODBUS, TCP/IP, MQTT) Hands-on experience with field or lab testing of inverters, energy storage systems, power converters and controllers Demostrated Program / Project Management skills Experience in managing R&D team - either academic or corporate Excellent English both oral and written Benefits What We Offer: Opportunity to work with an international team on challenging projects.
