The School of Veterinary Sciences (SVS) is seeking applications for a Wildlife Veterinary Care assistant to join our team at Massey University's Manawatu campus in Palmerston North. This position is a part-time, permanent opportunity working 18.75 hours per week and is part of a 6-week rotating roster, usually Monday - Wednesday with some weekend hours. Some negotiation regarding hours is possible.

Wildbase Hospital delivers high-quality veterinary care for New Zealand native species across the Manawatu and nationwide, while continuously advancing patient care, student learning, and species knowledge. The team supports animals from admission through rehabilitation at Wildbase Recovery, works alongside the Massey University Veterinary Teaching Hospital to treat exotic birds and reptiles, and contributes to wildlife pathology services and national oiled wildlife emergency response programmes in partnership with key agencies.
