Volunteer Retail Assistant

The Salvation Army – Salvos Stores seeks a compassionate volunteer to support store operations, customer service, and donation processing.

About the Role

As a Volunteer Retail Assistant you will work with managers, staff, and fellow volunteers to provide a positive shopping experience, maintain store cleanliness, and support our Donor Care program.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude.
• Assist with inquiries and provide helpful information.
• Support the Donor Care program by receiving donated goods and communicating with donors.
• Process donated goods – assess condition, ensure quality, and price items accurately.
• Stock and display items on the sales floor, ensuring neat and organized presentation.
