**Position Summary:**

The Veterinary Pharmacist provides clinical expertise and oversight of medication use to support safe, effective pharmacotherapy for veterinary patients across multiple species within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. This role collaborates with veterinarians, technicians, residents, and students to optimize drug therapy, including extra-label use and compounded medications when appropriate. The position also ensures compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations while supporting the hospital’s teaching mission through education and clinical consultation. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure safe medication practices and enhance patient care outcomes in a complex academic veterinary hospital environment.
