Job Description
- Veterinarians diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases and injuries in animals. They perform exams, surgeries, and administer treatments, while providing advice to pet owners and managing animal health records. Veterinarians work in clinics, animal hospitals, research facilities, or with livestock and wildlife.
- Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree.
- Licensure: State-specific veterinary license.
- Skills: Strong medical knowledge, surgical abilities, communication skills, and compassion for animals.
- Experience: Internship or clinical experience during veterinary school.
- Physical: Ability to handle animals and work long hours.
