Position Purpose: 

The Utility Worker is responsible for performing a variety of operating belt presses, routine cleaning, maintenance and repair to tanks, drains, culverts, grounds, buildings, and associated structures.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges.
• Record meter and gauge readings and operational data.
• Operate belt presses to process and dispose of waste.
• Clean and maintain equipment, tanks, grounds and other work areas.
• Follow the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and State of Florida regulations.
• Ensure safety standards are met.
• Tends to automatic and semi-automatic machines and related equipment including pumps, engines, mixers, valves, conveyors, and chemical feed.
