Provide excellent customer service and assist the patient care team by providing casting and medical assistance to licensed providers during patient scheduled clinic visits or patients in the emergency center.
Apply casts, splints and perform basic hardware maintenance.
Work with patients and families on all aspects of care.
Complete documentation meeting departmental standards for content, accuracy and timeliness.
Provide education to families regarding cast maintenance and skin care after cast removal.
Provide timely communication with the orthopedic team.
Manage casting and clinic supplies, update PAR levels when needed and communicate regularly with person ordering supplies.
Share responsibility of checking exam room supplies daily.
