About the role

Post graduate training in psychiatry in South Australia is organised by the South Australian Psychiatry Training Committee under the direction of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists' Committee for Training. The training occurs over 5 years, and consists of 3 stages; stage 1 a minimum of 12 months in Adult General Psychiatry. Stage 2 a minimum of 24 months in a range of experiences such as, Adult Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, ConsultationLiaison Psychiatry, Old Age Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Forensic Psychiatry and Addiction Disorders.
