About the SoPD

The School of Professional Development is home to the College of Engineering’s unique programs in professional communication and entrepreneurship, the RE-Engineered first-year program and to key initiatives in engineering education. The School develops the leadership potential of students and faculty in the College of Engineering and provides the opportunity for students to move beyond the technical dimension of their engineering studies to explore, and to gain expertise in, the broader social and economic contexts in which the engineering profession operates.
