The Role
The TEL Advisor role will perform all elements of IT service management for application services including, but not limited to, ITIL practises/processes such as Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Capacity, Availability, Event, Knowledge and Asset management and will ensure adoption of consistent processes across the IT organisation. The role holder will be a subject matter expert in at least one IT service and perform the role of a service lead, in addition the role will be expected to lead on the development and delivery of at least one ITIL practice/process and act as a champion for best practice. The role will be expected to provide expertise in support to projects and changes to the delivery of operational IT in line with the University’s Digital Plan. Subject matter expertise will be expected in at least one of the following services: Online and Teaching Applications (Student Management, VLE, Student Apps).
