Teaching Assistant – Specialist Centre

Grade 7 | 30 hours per week | 39 weeks per year

The Governors, working in partnership with Powys County Council, are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our Specialist Centre at Ysgol Gymraeg Dyffryn y Glowyr.

The Specialist Centre supports pupils with significant additional learning needs. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Teacher in Charge of the Specialist Centre and will play an important role in supporting pupils’ learning, communication, wellbeing, independence and inclusion.

The post will involve supporting pupils within the Specialist Centre, helping pupils to access mainstream learning where appropriate, and contributing to specialist interventions and individual support programmes.
