Purpose of Role

The role of the Teaching and Bus Assistant is to provide comprehensive support to both students and class teachers within and beyond the classroom environment. This includes assisting with learning activities, supporting individual student needs, and performing general classroom duties as directed by the teacher. In addition to in-class responsibilities, the Teaching and Bus Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, security, and well‑being of students during school transport. The assistant is responsible for supervising students on the bus, maintaining discipline, assisting with boarding and drop‑off procedures, and upholding the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
