Position Purpose:

The surgical aide provides care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, surgical patients under the supervision of the registered nurse.

What You Will Do:

As a member of the surgical team, helps to provide a safe and secure environment for patients and staff. The surgical aide assists in the implementation of the AORN Standards of Care, Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa and Operating Room Policies and Procedures, including cleaning of operating rooms, positioning of patients, transportation of patients and replenishment of supplies.

Hours:

3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Includes some on-call hours on weekends and holidays.
