* Weekday Shifts: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
* Weekday Call: 4:00 PM 7:00 AM
* Weekend Call: 6:00 AM 7:00 AM
Clinical Volume & Responsibilities
* Trauma Inpatients:
* Trauma Activations: per 24-hour period
* % blunt trauma
* Two attendings cover the service during daytime hours
Emergency General Surgery (EGS):
* Some calls include EGS coverage
* EGS consults: 0 8 per call
* Operative cases: 0 3 per call
* Emergencies only (e.g., perforated viscus)
Support Structure
* APP Coverage:
* 2 APPs during the day
* 1 APP overnight
* Residents: PGY-3 or PGY-4
* Interns:
* 2 during the day
* 1 overnight

* Fellowship trained in Surgical Critical Care
* DEA required
