Supply Chain Trainee

Job Description:

MAJOR FUNCTIONS

• Assist the Supply Chain team in co-ordination of various activities like vendor pre-qualification, inventory analysis, and MIS reporting. Reports to the Manager – Supply Chain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the Vendor pre-qualification process and identify potential vendors aligned to company’s needs.
• Identify new potential suppliers, establish strategic relationships with key suppliers.
• Maintain a supplier evaluation system and coordinate with vendors to help improve their performance.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure orders are processed and deliveries are completed within due dates.
• Ensure QC requirements on deliveries, follow-up with vendors and closeout any deviations and OSDR.
• Support warehouse / operations / accounting teams on documentation and tracking information.
