Serves as principal authority for the FDA Occupational Health Services Program. Has overall responsibility for program planning, strategic direction, and coordination of all occupational health (clinical) services and worksite health activities.
Provides technical leadership and supervises clinical, administrative staff, and potentially other physicians within the Occupational Health Services Program.
Serves as the program authority for occupational health regulatory compliance, ensuring that all program activities are aligned with OSHA, NIOSH, CDC, and applicable state regulations.
Plans, directs, and is accountability for all OSHA and Federally mandated medical surveillance programs for workers exposed to hazardous substances (e.g., lead, asbestos, benzene).
