LOCATION: Special Education – Maywood Academy

SCHEDULE: July 6, 2026 – August 14, 2026

BASIC FUNCTION:

These duties involve responsibility for assisting the physician in providing medical services to school children. Incumbent in this class provides emergency first aid for the staff and students. The work is performed under the supervision of the higher-level administrator. The School Nurse may supervise the work of Licensed Practical Nurses (SD). Does related work as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


+ Provides emergency first aide services for the students and staff.

+ Responsible for scheduling and performing vision, hearing screenings, and scoliosis checks.

+ Consults with parents and physicians and dispenses medications as prescribed by the physician.
