Description
Substitute paraeducators may include the following: Working with students in various types of classrooms such as Special Education, limited English speaking classes, etc. This position provides no benefits. This is an on-call position with no guarantee of hours.
Please note:
The majority of our Paraeducator positions are working with students in specially designed classrooms and require the willingness and ability to lift 50 pounds (testing required), and personal care (feeding, toileting/diapering), running after students, de-escalating, and kneeling on the floor with students. This is a physically strenuous position . This substitute position does not require education beyond HS Diploma or equivalent, or ETS testing at this time. These are only required for permanent positions. SALARY: Hourly rate will be based on the MI Salary Schedule adopted by the Board.
