The Role

As the Student Wellbeing Liaison your primary duty is to de-escalate and manage student distress, by conducting health and wellbeing assessments. You will be responsible for assessing and triaging the wellbeing needs of students, and successfully referring students to appropriate internal and/or external support services. Experience in maintaining confidential information while managing sensitive issues ranging from mental health conditions to personal safety issues is essential.

The successful incumbent will have sound judgement and be able to professionally manage private and confidential health information. Working within Student Psychological Programs and Services, this role is rewarding for someone who wants to make a difference in student wellbeing and contribute to building Deakin's capability in responding to student distress.
