General Description
The Steward performs cleaning, dishwashing, and sanitation duties to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of kitchen areas, utensils, and workstations. The role supports waste management, food trolley handling, and compliance with hospital hygiene, food safety, and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and store crockery, cutlery, glassware, and cookware as per standard procedures.
- Clean and maintain dishwashers, grease traps, refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage areas.
- Sweep, mop, and sanitize kitchen floors, corridors, and storage areas as scheduled.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, sinks, and storage racks after meal service.
- Participate in routine deep‑cleaning schedules for kitchen and dishwashing areas.
