Sterile Services / Theatre Technician | Nelson Hospital | Permanent, Part time (0.6 FTE)

As a Sterile Services / Theatre Technician, you will be working with sterilising and processing reusable instruments and equipment for the operating theatres and other hospital departments, as well as assisting nursing teams with patient transportation, theatre cleaning and equipment provision. Other duties include:

• Working closely with clinical teams to meet equipment needs and ensure timely availability of sterilised items.
• Performing decontamination, inspection, packaging, and sterilisation of medical instruments and equipment according to hospital protocols and infection-control standards.
• Conducting thorough checks on all sterilised items to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and readiness for use in patient care.
