Description

Incumbent will perform duties as a Surgical Processing Technician to include: decontamination and/or processing of equipment and instrumentation, and distribution of supplies or equipment, as assigned within UCLA Healthcare. Cross training will be provided. Other major duties include, but are not limited to, customer service, departmental efficiencies and facilitates care and processing of surgical instruments.

Qualifications

We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated professional with:

+ Working knowledge of aseptic technique, sterile fields and the principles of an Operating Room decontamination required.
+ Prefer demonstrated skills in proper maintenance and cleaning of instrumentation.
+ Correct use of various decontamination equipment and instrument/tray sterilizers.
+ Working knowledge of bacteriology and medical terminology beneficial.
