Sr. Accountant/Assistant Controller

Our client, a leading food manufacturer is looking for a talented Sr. Accountant/Assistant Controller to take ownership of the monthly financial closing process for one or more operating subsidiaries. This position reports to a controller.

Responsibilities:

• Post journal entries.
• Maintain fixed asset reports.
• Perform reconciliations.
• Maintain and apply Company internal controls.
• Coordinate weekly financial reports and operating plan tracking summary.
• Follow-up with managers and staff on issues and cost savings.
• Provide support for any financial audits.
• Provide financial statements and expenses by the agreed closing dates.

Key Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or a current accounting certification (i.e., CPA, CMA).
