            Responsibilities Perform diagnosis, pre‑ and post‑operative care for all major and minor operative cases in oncological and general surgery. 
Provide expert medical care for ambulatory and hospitalized patients, including pre‑ and post‑operative management. 
Consult with physicians, surgeons, and other specialists as needed. 
Assume after‑hours responsibilities and make daily rounds for hospitalized patients. 
Order diagnostic laboratory studies, X‑ray examinations, and determine appropriate therapy. 
Assess patient eligibility for admission and discharge. 
Adhere to the By‑laws, Rules, and Regulations of the Medical Department and maintain standards of the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Hospitals. 
Participate in anesthesia selection in collaboration with anesthesiologists. 
Engage in in‑service activities such as lectures, conferences, and rounds.
