Havern Autism Program (HAP) has a special education teacher position open for our Specialty School classroom. We serve autistic students in multi-grade classrooms that span kindergarten through 5th grade. Teachers oversee a maximum of 6-7 students.  Each class is supported by a Registered Behavior Technician as needed to maintain a 3:1 student to teacher ratio. Students break into skill based groups for academics. 

Responsibilities:

• Plan, modify and deliver grade or skill based instruction as provided by the student’s Individualized Education Program or Colorado State Standards. 
• Ensure efficiency and quality of instruction delivery
• Work closely with HAP BCBA to ensure intervention and skill acquisition plans are applicable and manageable in a classroom setting
• Provide coverage for classroom staff as needed
• Build students’ confidence and self-esteem as you come to know them as learners and individuals...
