Job Details

Responsibilities:

+ Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.

+ Assist doctor with invasive procedures, color-flow ultrasound and other scans as required based on assignment.

+ Selects appropriate equipment for use in ultrasound setup, following exam specifications.

+ Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure; makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.

+ Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.

+ Selects transducer and adjusts the equipment controls according to the organ to be examined, the depth of field and other specifications of tests.
