About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker- Māori Clinician to join our Forensic Inpatient Unit on a permanent basis in Porirua.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute directly to the team's goals and deliver high-quality care within a secure environment.
• Perform both the Māori Clinician and Social Worker roles, reporting operationally to the Team Leader and professionally accountable to the Professional Leader for Social Work (Mental Health).
• Work with all whaiora within the Rangipapa environment, ensuring culturally competent practice and clinical support.
• Maintain proficiency in Tikanga and Te Reo Māori, acting as a role model in multidisciplinary team processes.
• Provide sound clinical and cultural considerations in multidisciplinary team processes.
