Birmingham City Council is seeking experienced Adult Social Workers to join our Peripatetic Team. This team provides a flexible, mobile workforce that supports Adult Social Care services across the city during periods of high demand, staffing gaps, service pressures or improvement activity. As a Peripatetic Social Worker, you will be deployed into a range of teams to deliver statutory duties and ensure safe, timely and high-quality practice for Birmingham’s citizens.

Your new role

As a Social Worker within the Adults Peripatetic Team, you will work flexibly across a range of Adult Social Care teams, includingmunity, hospital, safeguarding and review services. You will undertake statutory duties under the Care Act 2014, including assessments, reviews, support planning, safeguarding enquiries and Mental Capacity Act work.
