Yr Egin, the creative and digital centre in the University of Wales Trinity Saint David is excited to launch ‘SgwrSioe ’, which offers young people in Carmarthen and the surrounding area an opportunity to develop essential skills through practical and professional workshops.

From October onwards, young people between 16 and 25 will have a unique opportunity to learn under the guidance of industry experts how to research, interview, record and produce their own podcasts and radio programmes, using professional equipment.

By participating, young people will:

• Learn how to research and develop content for radio, podcasts and social media.
• Gain recording and voice and picture editing skills.
• Develop confidence, creativity and a unique voice through the medium of Welsh.
• Collaborate with big names from the creative sector, including S4C, Theatr Cymru, Captain Jac and Merched yn CreuMiwsig.
