Provide specialist technical support for teaching and research projects, from concept design through to manufacture and assembly.

Work hands‑on with a wide range of workshop processes and equipment, including manual machining, CNC machining, welding and fabrication.

Train, supervise and support staff and students, promoting safe systems of work and high‑quality technical outcomes.
About you
A relevant trade qualification or equivalent demonstrated competency (fitting/machining or toolmaking highly regarded).

Strong hands‑on experience in workshop environments, with broad knowledge of manufacturing processes and practices.

Experience using CAD/CAM systems and CNC machining (Fanuc or similar controllers desirable).

Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities and collaborate effectively with academic staff, students and technical colleagues.
