To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: **Essential criteria** 1. Level 6 qualification in a relevant field (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent), plus substantial work experience in relevant technical/scientific service management posts, or proven track record with extensive experience in technical services management. 2. Extensive knowledge of the regulations and procedures for the management of laboratories, workshops and associated facilities. 3. Strong technical and scientific understanding of engineering and/or related disciplines 4. Significant experience line managing a technical team, with the ability to effectively delegate, create work plans, monitor and manage performance and workloads. 5. Proven ability to contribute to the strategic planning process, including making recommendations, estimates and projections on resource requirements. 6.
