Provide independent clinical assessment of patients and formulate individualized plans of care within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse and in consultation with the multi-disciplinary team, referring appropriately for internal or external services as necessary.
Perform clinical procedures as required for patient care.
Perform on-call duties on a rostered basis to provide out of office hours phone call support to patients and escalating emergent cases to on-call doctor as necessary.
Other Indirect Clinical responsibilities
Assist Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager in duties including but not limited to nursing consumables inventory, controlled drug storage/tracking and guiding junior staff nurses in performing their duties.
