This role has been specially designed to provide Senior House Officers who are interested in a career in Orthopaedics but who consider they need a little more Orthopaedic experience before taking the step up to Registrar.
The run is 6 months in length, after which you will move to the main House Officer team. Predominantly, the House Officer remains in ED seeing Orthopaedic patients but will help in fracture clinics when free. The role is Monday to Friday 0800 – 1600 hours and is categorised as a D Band. You’ll be part of a dedicated team providing comprehensive elective general orthopaedic services, as well as 24‑hour Orthopaedic Trauma and Orthopaedic Emergency care.
