About the team

Transpower is the backbone of New Zealand’s electricity system. As owner and operator of the national grid, we’re at the centre of the country’s transition to a low‑emissions economy, enabling decarbonisation while keeping electricity reliable for homes, businesses and communities.

The Financial Reporting team delivers external financial reporting and tax compliance, maintains a strong financial control environment, and provides technical accounting and tax advice across the organisation. The team also manages Transpower’s accounting, tax and regulatory asset registers, ensuring capital investment is accurately reflected for pricing, regulatory and revenue purposes. Over the next 12–18 months, this role will also contribute to our finance systems replacement programme, helping design and embed improved processes and reporting.
