Minimum requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification such as a BSc Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, or related degree
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the agricultural sector, preferably in research, development, and team management
• Solid understanding of plant physiology, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), strategic planning, and fruit market trends
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Innovative thinker with the ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Sound knowledge of citrus and subtropical fruit production, with sugarcane experience being advantageous
• Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills
• Computer literacy including MS Office and Outlook
• Willingness to work extended hours and overtime when required
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
