About the role

As a Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home you will look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person‑centred care and support. You will lead a team of care staff, which includes training, supervision and delegating duties on shift. You will also support with the administering and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessments, and liaising with GPs, district nursing teams and resident families. You will respect the dignity and preferences of residents and contribute to a warm, welcoming and vibrant care environment.

About you

The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or an Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care, previous experience in a residential care setting, proven team leadership skills, and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of residents.
