**JOB SUMMARY**


The Buyer position is responsible for procurement activities supporting category management strategies and business partner requirements. Duties include locating sources of supply, issuing requests for quotes, conducting bidder meetings, analyzing bids, creating purchase orders (service and material), negotiating, expediting, resolving supplier problems, and other supply chain duties as required.




**JOB REQUIREMENTS**


_Education_



+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Law, Finance, Supply Chain preferred
+ CPM certification a plus


_Experience_



+ Experience in procurement or contracts preferred
+ Maximo experience preferred
+ Knowledge and Skills
+ Strong knowledge of purchasing and supply chain practices and standards.
+ Knowledge of Uniform Commercial Code
+ Strong knowledge of generation, power delivery and corporate equipment and material desired.
