TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES
;
Prepares and cooks a variety of foods;
Uses approved scientific methods of preparation and quantity recipes;
Cooks meats and vegetables;
Prepares soups and broths;
Makes salads, sandwiches, desserts, and a variety of other foods;
When directed to do so, plans menus, requisitions food and performs other managerial duties;
May on occasion work at steam table;
Assists in the serving of meals;
May assist in cleaning activities;
May assist the Cook Manager in maintaining simple records of food and supplies that are received and used;
Performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS(A) Graduation from High School, GED or Equivalency Diploma and one year of full-time experience in quantity food preparation;
or
(B) An equivalent combination of education and experience.
