Job Summary: New graduate nurse or other nurse transitioning to different level of care will function under the RN job description of the unit with the oversight of the preceptor and educator. The residency is considered a form of orientation and while independence and autonomy are encouraged; to assure patient safety, the preceptor or educator will determine the amount of supervision required during the progression to full independence.
