Strong indicators:
• SICU, Transplant ICU, Neuro ICU, or mixed-acuity ICU
• Manages vents, vasoactive drips, invasive monitoring
• Comfortable with rapid deterioration and escalation

• Step-down or telemetry only
• Cannot clearly describe acuity or critical decision-making
2. Transitioning from ICU to PACU
Strong indicators
• Mentions rapid assessment, anesthesia recovery, airway vigilance
• Understands short-term, high-risk monitoring vs long-term ICU management
• Prior PACU exposure is necessary
No:
• Thinks PACU is less acute
• Limited understanding of anesthesia-related complications
