The unit is staffed with at least 5 staff for 18-25 patients, including 3 licensed professionals and 2 support staff. When the patient load is 11-17, there are at least 4 staff members, with 3 being licensed. One RN serves in a charge nurse role, supervising the shift, while another RN oversees all admissions. Medication administration is handled by one nurse (RN or LPN) for all patients during the shift. All RNs are trained in all three positions.
