**Job Description :**

**GENERAL OVERVIEW:**

Assesses, prepares, and provides nursing care to patients; provides ongoing care in collaboration with multiple physicians; provides and develops educational opportunities for staff and monitors outcomes.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Assesses, develops, and administers plan of care, completes appropriate documentation and ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies. (35%)
+ Communicates with attending physician regarding plan of care and involves physician in clinical decision making of any issues that are outside the RN's knowledge base or scope of practice. (20%)
+ Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on individual needs. (20%)
+ Communicates and coordinates patient care with patient, family, community health services and interdisciplinary team. (15%)
