Neuro ICU Registered Nurse

Neuro ICU experience is required. Shift is 3x12 hour nights. A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred. The unit does not accept first-time travelers. Charting is done using Epic. Patient ratio is 1:2. Certifications needed include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with patient ratios of 2 is required. Candidates should have travel experience. Community hospital experience is preferred. Preferred experience includes Trauma Level I and Trauma Level II. Skills required include management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care/management, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drain management, ICP monitoring, and care of ventilated patients. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacies, and rapid response teams.
