Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care through the application of the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and professional nursing standards. The RN is accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
This role maintains responsibility and accountability for assigned patients, including oversight of delegated activities performed by Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, Sitters, and other support staff. The RN may also serve in a charge nurse capacity when assigned and is expected to provide care appropriate to the age and developmental needs of the patient population served.
