Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery. The facility has a total of 321 beds. The Labor & Delivery unit has 10 labor and delivery rooms and 10 antepartum rooms, with a capacity of 240 deliveries per month. The nurse-patient ratio varies from 1:1 to 1:4 based on patient acuity. Staffing includes 1 unit clerk or secretary and 1 OR scrub tech per shift. There are 3 Nurse Midwives available on-site 24/7, along with anesthesia and pediatric support. Neonatologists are present seven days a week, with on-call availability 24 hours per day. Obstetricians are in-house for 14 hours each day. The unit requires floating to the Mother Baby unit when necessary. Travelers will float first as a priority. Orientation will comprise 3-4 days with unit-specific protocols.
