Acuity level of patients includes adults and pediatrics, acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems and/or diseases. Number of beds in the unit is 25. Patient ratio is 1:5-6. Automated medication dispensing system utilized is Pixys. EMR system used is Cerner. NIHSS certification is required for all RNs/LPNs. BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications must be from AHA. Pediatric experience is mandatory. Masks must be worn at all times in the ICU. Scrub color for RNs is navy blue. Minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
