**THE UNIT:**

Allegheny General’s Trauma ICU is a 24 Bed Unit

+ Variety in the types of patients we receive and the level of patient acuity prepares our nurses to care for the most critically ill of patients
+ Teaching institution with implementation of most current evidence based practice
+ Daily patient focused round that include family and all members of the health care team
+ Part of a nursing team focused on team work
+ Close collaboration with medical team
+ Annual ongoing trauma education
