Registered Nurse In Critical Care Unit

This position is for a registered nurse in a critical care unit specializing in stepdown critical care. The unit provides care to patients requiring an intermediate level of care between intensive care and progressive care. Nursing staff and intensivists collaborate to deliver exceptional care to patients and their families. Patient safety is the top priority. The patient population includes traumas, surgical patients, transplants, lung disorders, and those on ventilators. Staffing ratios are typically 1:3-4 during both day and night shifts. Frequent floating to other units may be required to meet hospital staffing needs. Floating may include various designated units. The schedule requires working four weekend shifts out of eight possible in a four-week period. Weekend shifts include Saturday and Sunday day shifts or Friday and Saturday night shifts.
