RECERTIFICATION PROGRAM OCEAN TO RIVER  
ROLE OVERVIEW  
 Transition from ocean to river navigation and develop the skills needed to become a Second Officer on the Rhine, Danube, or in France. 
The Recertification Program: Ocean to River  
Obtain a Captain license, including VHF certification. 
Prepare for stretch exams from Amsterdam to Cologne. 
Train on Viking Longships through onboard and simulator sessions. 
Gain hands-on experience for 7-9 months. 
Upon completion, you'll be offered a contract as a Second Officer. Viking covers all training and exam costs, adhering to EU regulations. 
WHAT YOU WILL DO ON BOARD   
Assist the First Officer with ship, crew, guest, and environmental safety 
Continuously learn and train to enhance sailing skills 
Mentor sailors and trainees, ensuring compliance with guidelines
