PH Zurich actively shapes education, school and teaching of today and tomorrow in teaching and research. Practical vocational training is a core element of the training in the Secondary Level I department and aims at a strong link between theoretical knowledge and situated practical experience. From the first weeks of study, students gain insights into the professional everyday life at primary schools in the canton of Zurich and take on increasing responsibility in the design of lessons during their studies. PH Zurich and the school field pursue a common goal. They want to train teachers who perform well in the complex system “school”.
